
TERMS & CONDITIONS
PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES
Red-Tailed Studios and the CLIENT hereby acknowledge that the following General Terms and Conditions are incorporated in and make a part of the Terms of Service between the parties hereto. These Terms and Conditions still apply to any jobs or communicated under Red-Tailed Studios' previous name, Black Wattle Photography.
1.Definitions
CLIENT refers to the client hiring and assigning the brief to Red-Tailed Studios. PHOTOGRAPHER refers to Red-Tailed Studios, Meagan Macintosh(owner and main Photographer of Red-Tailed Studios), and includes any employees, assistants, or any other parties hired by Red-Tailed Studios to provide services. RTS refers to the abbreviation of Red-Tailed Studios. Expenses mean any expenses incurred by Red-Tailed Studios that differ from the initial quote and to be paid by the CLIENT. Fee means the total fee as specified in the tax invoice. GST has the meaning defined in the New Tax System (Goods and Services) Act 1999 (Cth). License means the usage license granted by Red-Tailed Studios for the CLIENT. Services means any services performed by Red-Tailed Studios. Term means the period of commercial usage. Territory means the territory where the images can be used. Uses means the permitted uses granted by Red-Tailed Studios to the CLIENT for use of the Photographs as set in the quote and/or communications.
2.Engagement and Services
The assisgnment is between Red-Tailed Studios and the CLIENT. The CLIENT wishes to engage Red-Tailed Studios and Red-Tailed Studios accepts the engagement to hereby: (a) provide the Services to the CLIENT; (b) produce the PHOTOGRAPHS; and (c) upon full payment of the FEE and the EXPENSES, Red-Tailed Studios will grant the CLIENT the usage set out in the QUOTE/TAX INVOICE.
3. Payment And Fees
3.1 The CLIENT agrees to pay the FEE and EXPENSES (plus GST, if applicable) to Red-Tailed Studios within 14 days following the issue of tinvoice, unless agreed upon in writing with Red-Tailed Studios.
3.2 All amounts payable on the tax invoices display GST. If any amount payable under this Agreement is the consideration of a taxable supply under GST law, then GST, calculated in accordance with the GST legislation, must be paid in addition to the amount specified in the TAX INVOICE at the same time and in the same manner as the FEE and EXPENSES. All stamp duties and governmental charges, if any, arising out of or incidental to the AGREEMENT are the responsibility of and must be PAID by the CLIENT.
3.3 If the CLIENT fails to pay any outstanding balance after 30 days of receiving the TAX INVOICE an additional charge of 10% of the invoice total (including GST) per day thereafter will be added to the outstanding total owed. If the invoice is not settled in full after 60 days of receiving the tax invoice all debts will be passed to a debt recovery agency for collection. Any legal cost associated with collecting the debt will be paid by the CLIENT.
STUDIO BOOKINGS
Bookings
Bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking.
BYO STUDIO
The BYO Studio option does NOT come with equipment other than paper backdrops and the backdrop stand. If you book an hourly BYO equipment session and require some equipment please reach out. We are happy to rent out individual equipment items for an additional fee as needed.
CANCELATIONS
You may cancel a booking up to 48 hours prior to the session. If you need to cancel under 48 hour from a booking you will be charged a 30% cancelation fee. To cancel under 48 hours prior to the start of a session please contact us at info@redtailedstudios.com immediately.
No show clients will not be eligible for a refund. No shows will pay 100% of the booking fees.
Red-Tailed Studios reserves the right to refuse future bookings and refunds for repeat cancelations under 48 hours or no show.
CHANGES TO POLICY
This Policy is subject to change at Red-Tailed Studios discretion. Please make sure to check our policies each time you book. We will make announcements if changes are made on our social media or e-mailing lists.

Studio Usage
All clients and attendees are to stay within the studio spaces during bookings.
SESSION START
If you have not previously booked with us, please ensure to arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking. All new clients will need to go through safety induction and sign off.
SESSION END
Staff will let you know when you have 30 mins prior to the end of a session. Studio must be cleaned and tidied by the end of your booking. Clients, guests, models and all equipment must be packed away and out of the studio by the end of the booking. If there is no booking after your booking and you need additional time please alert staff to arrange additional time.
EQUIPMENT
Red-Tailed Studios is not responsible for equipment brought to the studio by clients. If you are bringing your own equipment please ensure to check all cabling and electronic equipment is maintained properly.
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT OR PROPERTY
All clients are responsible for maintaining that the creative spaces, building and rented equipment remain undamaged. Clients will be held financially responsible for any and all damaged caused by them or their guests.
If you are using Red-Tailed Studios equipment you are responsible for ensuring that equipment is used properly and safely. Any damage to our equipment will result in the client having to replace the equipment. Damage to the building or studio will result in the client being charged subject to the amount damage done.
Pets and Wildlife
Red-Tailed Studios welcomes pets. Clients are required to let Red-Tailed Studios know at the time of booking that an animal and what type will be attending the booking.
At least one handler must be present.
Animals must stay confined to the studio spaces at all times.
Client and handler are responsible for post session clean-up.
Any damage to equipment or the creative space by animals will be at the financial responsibility of the client and/or handler.
Safety Compliance
All new clients and guests are required to go through safety compliance and sign off before the start of a session.
If you have not previously booked with us, please ensure to arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking.
After 6 months all returning clients will need to review and sign the safety induction form. If there are updates to our safety.
Strobe lighting must be monitored at all times. No liquids are to be near the lighting.
If a light owned by Red-Tailed Studios needs to be replaced please alert staff and we will change the bulb. DO NOT touch strobe light bulbs as the oils on skin can cause the equipment to explode and potentially be damaged.
Clients and guests are responsible for ensuring all cables are safely secured to limit trip hazards, serious injury or damage to equipment and the creative spaces.
Indemnity
Red-tailed Studios and it's staff are not liable for any damage done to any equipment or goods brought to the creative spaces by clients or their guests.
Red-tailed Studios and it's stall are not liable for any damage caused to the creative spaces or Red-Tailed Studios equipment caused by clients or their guests.
Red-Tailed Studios is not liable for injuries caused to negligence and clients or guests not following safety compliance.
Student Rates
Student rates are only available to students with a current and valid student e-mail address and ID.
If you require student rates, do not book online. Contact info@redtailedstudios.com to book.
If a client cannot provide a current and valid student ID and does not e-mail from a current and valid student e-mail, the client will be subject to normal rates.
